Officers
Captain - Cpt.
There is only one Captain in a company. The Captain is often referred as the Commanding Officer (CO) of the Unit. The Captain does not lead a Platoon because he controls the whole company. Captain is the highest Rank in the Company HQ.

First Lieutenant - 1Lt.
First Lieutenant’s are usually the Executive Officer of the Company, (XO), the second highest ranking officer, second in command, the Executive Officer Carries out orders from the Captain, the First Lieutenant can serve as Platoon Leaders if necessary Also can serve as the Company Commanding Officer.

Second Lieutenant - 2Lt.
Second Lieutenant is the lowest ranking Officer, Second Lieutenants generally serve as Platoon Leaders.


Non Commissioned Officers
First Sergeant - FSgt.
There is only one First Sergeant in a company, the First Sergeant often servers as Senior Drill Instructor to help new recruits pass BCT, the First Sergeant is considered senior non-commissioned officer. They are well respected by the men.

Master Sergeant - MSgt.
There is usually only one Master Sergeant in a company, the Master Sergeant can serve as a Platoon Sergeant or assist with the Regimental HQ. Master Sergeant is a Senior Non Commissioned Officer. MSgt. Helps with keeping the enlisted men in line.

Technical Sergeant - TSgt.
The Technical Sergeant is a long running NCO who knows what to do, who serves as a Platoon Sergeant. Technical Sergeants can occupy a position in the Company HQ. More less a Platoon Sergeant.

Technician Third Grade - T/3
Technician Third Grade is an equivalent to a Staff Sergeant, T/3 doesn’t hold any authority over other Staff Sergeants. Technician Third Grades often serve as a Company Clerk, engineers, medics. Can Occupy a Company HQ position as a Head Adjutant or an Assistant Adjutant

Staff Sergeant - SSgt.
Staff Sergeants have lots of experience as an NCO, they can serve as Platoon Sergeants or Squad Leaders. They have no authority over the Technician Third Grade rank.

Technician Fourth Grade - T/4.
Technician Fourth Grade is an equivalent to a Sergeant, they have no authority over other Sergeants, Technician Fourth Grades often serve as a Company Clerk, engineers, medics. Can Occupy a Company HQ position as a Head Adjutant or an Assistant Adjutant.

Sergeant - Sgt.
A Sergeant has proven himself time and time again, coming from being a Corporal, Sergeants often serve as Squad Leaders, Sergeants can serve as a Platoon Sergeant.

Technician Fifth Grade - T/5
Technician Fifth Grade is an equivalent to a Corporal, they have no authority over other Corporals, Technician Fifth Grades often serve as a Company Clerk, engineers, medics. Can Occupy a Company HQ position as an Assistant Adjutant.

Corporal - Cpl.
A Corporal is a proven Private First Class, Corporals are the lowest ranking NCO’s and they often serve as an Assistant Squad Leader. Corporals don’t have the authority as a Sergeant or above, but they are essential to a squad.


Enlisted Soldiers
Private First Class - PFC
The highest rank for Enlisted Soldiers, Non NCO’s, Private First Class is awarded to people who show dedication over and over, assist in scrims and BCT, help out with other Privates. They prove themselves.

Private - Pvt.
The standard rank for most enlisted soldiers, once a Recruit graduates from Basic Combat Training they become a Private and assigned to a squad and is ready to follow orders from the Platoon Leader.

Recruit - Pvt.
The lowest rank possible in the 501st Parachute Infantry Unit, upon being accepted, you generally become a Recruit, Private. Recruits must graduate from Basic Training in order to officially be in the unit.
