Basic Combat Training is required for every single member who Enlists with the 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment, in order to be assigned to a squad and to be officially in the unit, you must graduate from Basic Training. Basic Combat Training is also known as ‘BCT’. This will be held one night for one week. That’s right you have one week to prove yourself to the unit. The drills will be held by the Drill Sergeant and his assistant instructors, you must listen to them at all times.

BCT isn’t all that easy, we are a Realism Unit so you will be yelled at and punished for mistakes, if you do not obey the Drill Sergeant you may receive a demerit, also if you disrupt drills and talk excessively. If you think getting verbally abused and being punished for talking out of line is stupid, then this isn’t for you.

Our main goal is to train New Recruits to become familiar with Realism and if you are not fit to be in the Unit, if you frequently talk out of line, don’t listen, then you will fail. But, you can then get another chance in the next class. There is no complaining during drills, you must give your fill attention to the Drill Sergeant or any Officer.

If you are at every single drill and you show dedication and loyalty and if you do not mess up and you show that you can be the best you can be, you may be promoted to Private First Class upon graduating from Basic Training. (Or made Squad Leader if a Squad needs to be made)
